Music Industry Mondays Guest Speaker in London

Daniel Scott delivered a thought-provoking speech titled 'The music industry: it's not a lottery' at LCCM's Music Industry Mondays event on April 15th.

The talk, held at The Music Box in London, was centred on providing artists with access to the knowledge to build a sustainable business, creating greater transparency about how the music industry works, and ensuring that artist projects have a clear value proposition.

Previous Music Industry Mondays speakers have featured industry veterans such as Mathew Knowles, the renowned manager behind Destiny's Child and Beyoncé's early success; Nick Raphael, the former President of the iconic Capitol Records UK label; and Claire Mas, Chief Operating Officer of the groundbreaking live streaming platform Driift.

During the Q&A section of the talk, Daniel answered questions from the audience about when it is the right time to bring in support, what trends exist in the music industry right now, and how an independent artist can build without the traditional support system.

“It was a pleasure to be invited and share my ideas and examples of my current work. I believe that access to talent needs to change in the music industry and that consultancy is the key to providing artists with a different way to work. One focused on building businesses sustainably and delivering results, not gambling on a big break.”

At Super Specific, our mission is to help artists find opportunities by uncovering the specific audience levers required.
