Sync Success: Wax Owls Land Placement & Sign With Label Music Group

Wax Owls Header

Since early 2024, we’ve been partnering with Los Angeles-based indie-folk band Wax Owls to lay the groundwork for long-term growth–with a particular focus on strategic sync placements and storytelling through sound.

Their track Bring the Rain was recently featured in Ethan Bloom, a coming-of-age comedy that navigates themes of grief, spirituality, and first love. The film premiered at the Miami Film Festival on April 6th, marking a new milestone for the band’s cinematic songwriting.

This sync follows the track’s previous placement on Grey’s Anatomy. Earlier this year, Wax Owls also made their debut at SXSW in Austin, Texas, further solidifying their presence in the indie music scene.

We continue to receive editorial recognition from Apple Music, with placements across various playlists, including New in Alternative, New in Indie, and As Heard on TV. While playlists aren’t our primary focus, they serve as a valuable indicator that the music is resonating creatively.

Most recently, the band signed with Label Music Group–part of Musicbed, a leading sync-licensing platform. This partnership brings funding and promotional support, setting the stage for future licensing opportunities and continued momentum across music and media.
